Pinecone Wreath

Spruce up this Christmas by making your very own homemade pinecone wreath. It is a great way to put to use some of those nagging pinecones that litter the lawn in fall. A wonderful fun and easy activity to do with the family and the results are a beautiful Christmas wreath. In addition to being able to say you made it yourself it is extremely inexpensive.

Cut a ‘donut’ out of cardboard, just an old box.

Glue pinecones to it. Hot glue works great but doesn’t hold up to cold real well. Elmers works just fine but you’re holding each cone for a while waiting for the glue to dry.

Mix it up by using pine, spruce, fir or whatever else is available.

Make the masterpiece your own by adding ornaments, bows, nuts, flowers or greenery. Over the door wreath hangers are around $5 at Ace Hardware.

Please share with us your very own wreaths in the comments below.
