Yellow cornmeal may be cooked as a cereal or used to make cornbread.
It is a degermed cornmeal and fortified with vitamins. With it’s long term shelf life expectancy it’s a great item to add to your emergency food storage.
Can be cooked as a cereal, use in recipes for fritters, griddle cakes, Johnny cake, pudding, bread, tortillas and chips.
Shelf Life:
Should be stored in cool dark place – optimum condition is 60 degrees or less – for longer storage. Product should store for 25+ years if stored properly.
Directions for Use:
May be cooked as a cereal. For corn bread: combine 1 cup cornmeal, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tbs. baking powder, and 1 tsp. salt. Add 1 egg and 1 cup milk. Pour into greased 8 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
